Paula Knorr is a 2015 MA Graduate of womenswear from the Royal College of Art in London. Her MA Collection entitled "Wet Skin" was absolutely stunning as each design was molded to the body with shimmering fabrics. Shortly after graduating she won the prestigious ITS Fashion Award in Trieste, Italy and then went on to work as a freelance designer for Peter Pilotto and honed her draping and cutting techniques by working on projects with stylists. Even though it wasn't in her plans, in late 2015 she founded her label and was awarded NEWGEN by the British Fashion Council which meant she would be showing during London Fashion Week. Her collections explore womanhood from the design process to the end of the runway show. Her feminine designs are manufactured in her homeland of Germany using luxurious fabrics from Italian and French mills. Fabrics are the most important, as movement is the first attribute in the construction of her designs.
Paula Knorr is one of London's most exciting and talented designers and her Spring/Summer 2019 Collection shows you why. The collection was evening wear focused on caftans, kimono sleeve tops, jumpsuits, asymmetrical tops, floor gazing trousers, and one-shoulder tunics. The designs were fabricated in matte cotton, viscose, tulle, lame, and jersey in cream tones, pastel pink, gunmetal, pastel orange, and steel blue. Once you have seen this innovative collection, you will understand why there is a craze for her designs.
