Bugs Garson AKA Aideen Gaynor was born in Brooklyn but raised in Dublin and took inspiration for her thesis collection from twelve corresponding letters between her grandparents in 1948. Therefore, the collection focused on "dinner and cocktails" with designs focusing on tailored jackets, skirts, and dresses.
The color was a mainstay of each design as she used subtle floral designs with assorted hues of blue, orange, teal, and pink. Some of the techniques used to create her collection were surface manipulation, printed and painted textiles, and referenced silhouettes. Her collection was romantic, with both elegance and simplicity.
